With the economy sour and jobs as scarce as oil, (so they say) most enthusiast individuals are trying to find their way creating wealth online. This can be any form of online venture, it really does not matter.
We start out excited, full of energy, we are up for the challenge. But the truth is, we really don't know or understand the challenge that we have accepted. Not yet anyway.
Were up late at night, researching the best, most efficient methods to pull us out of our jam, to replace our job, since we hate our boss. We Google everything possible from affiliate marketing to online trading.
See, the sales letters are outstanding, the terms; wealth creation, millionaire, cash within 48 hours are like the fillet minion of creating our online fortune. We water at the mouth just knowing that one or several of these ideas are going to work for us. We take notes, we search and search some more. The problem is, everything that we have a liking to, an interest in, is something that we think we will succeed in. We can't fail, I love health and wellness, I lost 75 lbs, I know how to diet. Some times we even say hay, how hard could it be to create a website. I can do it, I'm only working 60 hours this week I can get it done.
Armed with the greatest discoveries since sliced bread we are off and running, and so is our credit card. We buy not one but two and even three programs to start off with. The motivation is seeping out of our ears, we are going to do. I will make a million dollars on the internet. Everyone else is.. Or are they??
You see as a newbie your flesh boils with excitement. Your can't sleep since you are up all night buying one program after another, marketing, website creation, keywords and PPC (wow what does that mean). I have to start a twitter account, my space and U-Tube for sure.
Well after 5 or 6 different programs, 100 videos, 75 E-books and tutorials, you are blinded, blinded by the fact that you have absolutely no clue what you are doing, complete information overload. Wow how long did that take 30, 60, 90 days. What a waste. The gurus are good they can sell ice to the Eskimos and you were sold and sold and sold. Don't be shy, you can look at your bank account now, it OK to cry.
Trial an error is a must with any online business success, we have all been there. The smart ones learn from their mistakes, brush themselves off and start over again. (As well as have a large tax deduction).
Listen with anything new there is a learning curve, a time when we know nothing but pretend that we know it all. It is at that time when a mentor could be the only logical solution. But hey spending 10K on mentoring is not uncommon, its out there and they will take your money if you are giving it to them.. You'll learn something I guess.
Lets slow down, regroup, plan, create some good ideas. There are actually processes out there to help you. Clubs, memberships, forums, blogs for instance. These are areas were you can put your ego away, learn something and make an educated decision. You can meet like minded people, who have been there and done that. You can get advice, referrals, education. Yes, education.
So before you go throwing your hard earned money at someone you have no idea even exists, do some in-depth sole searching. What is it really that you want from an online business. With that answer, then and only then go and get it full blast. Because the internet does create millionaires..
